One of our special support activities is sponsoring a yearly gathering of F-4 enthusiasts. The event is called PhanCon.

We usually try to hold it in Sept or October. While all to date have been held in the USA, that does not mean that future PhanCons can not be held overseas. That is certainly where all the active flying is now done. It just takes a few good local contacts willing to spend some volunteer time putting it together. We've been doing this for over 14 years so we can certainly guide the effort. We welcome your inquiries, and support.

PHANCON

Welcome. Our society sponsors once a year a worldwide gathering of F-4 enthusiasts. Aviators, maintenance personnel, support folks, hobbiests, photographers, modelers, watchers, ... all join up to share experiences, update friendships, and view F-4s in action. Some bring their extensive photo collections to share. We also attract lots of vendors specializing in F-4 memorabilia and merchandise. Below is a glimpse at what is planned for the next PhanCon.

Tyndall 2009 F4

PHANCON 2010 September 20-23

This year we are returning to one of our favorite spots, Tyndall AFB, FL. Our conference will be located at the Holiday Inn Select hotel in Panama City, FL. On the schedule are of course visits to Tyndall and F-4 and F-22 operations there. We also plan a day excursion over to Pensacola.

Our guest speaker this year will be Brigadier General Dan Cherry, USAF (Ret), author of "My ENEMY, My FRIEND". He is a MiG Killer and past commander of the Thunderbirds.

The latest information, how to register and make discount hotel and car reservations is maintained over on our registration website: http://phancon2010.ezregister.com/ . Once you have registered do routinely check back there for updates. Among other things will soon be a roster of who is also attending. If you don't see your fellow Phantom Phriends on the list, do give them a call or email them to remind them of the event.
