above-mentioned F-4E scored 2 MIG-kills.

following below link, you notice that for some time she flew with only 1 Kill.

This is strange, as at the time of the pictures both Kills were confirmed.

Anybody an idea why she only wears 1 Star ?

F-4E S/N 68-0338 Demise

As of today, 10 September 2017, I have been an F-4 Phantom II Society member, prompted by me viewing the forward fuselage section of F-4E S/N 68-0338 secured to a towed trailer in a parking lot at a Hobby Shop in St. Charles, MO.

If able to embed the photos, you will see that there are a total of three MIG kill stars, two on the port side and one on the starboard side (engine intakes).

The cockpit instrumentation and seats appear to be intact, sans explosives in fwd and aft seats.
