Howdy everyone! My name is Garrett, I'm a self proclaimed Phantom Phanatic in Texas. While I was to young to ever crew or work on Phantoms I still fell in love with the jet at the ripe age of 3.
Anyways, I have acquired a rear gear door from an F-4 and was looking for some help possibly tracking down the airframe it came from. Unfortunately the seller had no paper work with and only said it came out of the desert in Tucson. Attached are photos of the door and data plate affixed to it. From the research I have done I know it came from the left side of the airframe.
The data plate reads
Part No. 53-42002-301
Serial No. BAC-531-GS45
I know it's a long shot but maybe someone can provide me a little more info. Thanks so much and Phantoms Phorever!
